Pumpkins Preloved began with a pile of tiny clothes and a quiet ache in my chest. 

One moment I was dressing my baby in impossibly small rompers and cardigans. The next, I was folding them away - outgrown, barely worn, and still so beautiful.

It happened so quickly.

Each growth spurt meant another size up. Another wardrobe refresh. Another stack of pieces that had so much life left in them. While motherhood was teaching me to slow down and savour every fleeting moment, the cycle of constantly buying brand new felt anything but slow.

It began to feel heavy.

The cost. The constant replacing. The thought of beautiful tiny clothing ending up in landfill here in Aotearoa.

I spent hours searching marketplace options, and visiting local Op Shops, hoping to find those same sweet, well-made pieces secondhand. And while there were certainly treasures hidden among them, it often felt time-consuming and overwhelming. sorting through inconsistent quality, worn-out items, or styles that didn't quite feel special made it hard to shop sustainably with ease. 

I realised the problem wasn't secondhand clothing.

It was the lack of a thoughtfully curated space where preloved pieces still felt beautiful, cohesive and intentional.

So Pumpkins Preloved was created.

A thoughtfully curated collection of baby and children's clothing, chosen for quality, comfort, and charm. Pieces ready for playground mornings, cafe dates, and slow afternoons at home.

We believe tiny wardrobes don't need to be endless to be special. 

We believe small clothes deserve more than one chapter.

We believe choosing preloved is a quiet, powerful act of care - for your child and for the world they're growing up in.
